ICv2, a geek culture consultancy and news service, pick their ten most important “comics business events” in 2013, based on their “impact on the economics of the business.” Not sure what the methodology was for determining the economic impacts of something like “gender issues come to the fore” or the Apple/Comixology kerfuffles around Saga and Sex Criminals, but it’s nice to see someone recognize that gender, censorship, and creative autonomy are indeed business issues in creative industries.
